Wish I knew the actual weight of this bass, I've been after a black/maple neck 70's P. This would be ideal but I asked the seller the weight and he said his scale is broken but it "seems heavier than the Peavey and ESP basses he had before".

Guitar Center Vintage has 2 black/maple P's . A 78 at Cherry Hill NJ store for 2k http://vintageguitars.net/products/disp ... ategory=18 And a 81 at Totowa NJ store for $1700. http://vintageguitars.net/products/disp ... ?id=231462 Don't know the weight of either.

Thanks for the tip.

The one on Ebay is attractive because of it's lower price but also because it already has a BadAssII bridge (which I'd add) and a replacement pickup (which I'd replace anyway, o.g. or not).
