That just reminds me how I hate not having a job.

Good price on a Ric, but as far as I'm concerned, that's not a Ric anymore. . . And putting it back to stock might be a mission.

I wish I could get past it, but the upside down headstock on the 70's/80's Ricks make me cringe. I'll probably never own a vintage Ric because of it.

Since it's already hacked a bit, this'd be a great bass to buy and "Cliff Burton-ize" though.

On the subject of lefty Ric bass headstocks; I like the backwards(righty) ones over the newer model's "mirror" version. I do not like the C-Series basses with the backwards headstocks on the righty basses.

Folks, why the hate on the reverse headstock? I've seem maybe 2 lefty Ricks in my lifetime with a correct headstock. I'm so used to seeing them "wrong" that they appear normal to me this way. And if it was good enough for McCartney, it's good enough for me. ;)

To me it's just insulting.

You are paying top dollar plus a lefty markup and waiting a year or more for delivery and they can't be bothered to put an actual lefthanded neck on it! And what's even more insulting is that even now when they do put a lefthanded neck on it they STILL put a righthanded fretboard on it!

If you spent the money on a CS Fender and they sent it to you with a righthanded neck I'd bet a less than cordial conversation would ensue! And I bet you'd be sending it back pronto!

I have always wanted a Ric, but because of this issue I will NEVER buy a new one because I do not want my money to go to a company that so disrespects people like me.
