Lefty ESP F-104s coming

Post by pjmuck »

These always struck me as one of the ugliest body designs ever made (looks like a leaf), but since they were never available lefty until now (due at MF 05/06) I thought it was worth mentioning. I have no clue what they sound/play like.

It also looks like MF will be carrying lefty Steinberger Spirit basses in June.

I'd be into getting a steiny spirit bass for leaving in the car trunk/office/wherever for a cheap bass that fits in smaller spaces.

I had a buddy who always left a Steinberger in his trunk, tucked up in a spot he made below the back widow where it couldn't be easily seen. He was a musician of local reknown and wherever he went to watch gigs if the band asked him to sit in he'd run out to his car and grab the Steinberger. :)

That's what I'm thinking about these Steinies too. Just sling it on your back or leave it in your trunk and you're good to go. I don't know how they compare to the graphite ones though, but I'm guessing they're much lighter.
