I want that "guitar-playing" experience and I was hoping to find it in the Eastwood Tenorcaster.
But the neck is still too narrow for me. So, I'm looking to move this to purchase an acoustic guitar.
$399 shipped to the lower 48. Comes with a very nice padded case.
Body: Basswood
Color: Butterscotch
Pickups: 2x Single Coil
Switching: 3-way
Controls: 1 Volume, 1 Tone
Neck: Bolt-on Maple
Finger Board: Maple, Dot Markers
Scale Length: 23"
Width at the Nut: 1 5/16" (string spacing similar to the Warren Ellis model)
Hardware: Updated to Hipshot - you can see the holes.
Case: Gigbag Included

That ax is awesome. My brother plays tenor guitar, but unfortunately he's a righty.

Was this designed to be a 4-string tenor bass, similar to the 6-string Fender? What was it intended for, when it comes to playing/recording? And, is it easier to play with a pick, or is it more suited to finger-style picking, as compared to traditional two-finger picking, like most of us do...

No, not a bass at all. I have it strung and tuned as the bottom four strings of a guitar, but there are many tunings.
I don't play with a pick, but use all of my fingers on my left hand.
I was inspired by Warren Ellis:
