Can you fellas walk me through how to order a G&L bass?

I really want to try an L2500 but they do not come up used very often that I have seen. So I figured as long as I have to buy a new one I should order what I want. I went on the G&L site and looked at the endless options. They instruct to order though a dealer, but which one? I don't feel too comfortable just emailing someone the specs I want. I would prefer a proper online order form to fill out. I'm not sure when I could order, but would like to know the best way to do it.

What say ye, lefty brothers who have ordered a new G&L?

(Also if anyone has one they'd like to sell or trade now would be my time to ask I suppose)

Thanks

I ordered a new G&L SB-2 to my specs and Tim also ordered 2 G&Ls.
We both ordered from Upfront Guitars and where very happy with their help ordering the basses.
I suggest calling Gordon at Upfront Guitars and ask about the options.

In the meantime you can play with the G&L Bass Generator: http://www.glguitarsgenerator.com/Bass_index.html

I am going to give a shoutout to Greg at Rocket Music who was great to deal with when I ordered my bass. There are pictures of it on the website, too!

Second Greg at Rocket. He was excellent to work with and will certainly order from him again.

Any of the more reputable premium G&L dealers in the states should be pretty easy to deal with, Upfront and Rocket do a lot of G&L stuff.

Take your time with the options, there's a lot to choose from.

I've ordered many for my customers north of the border and it's a pretty fun process (and a few for myself as well).
Email and phone conversations with a good sales rep that knows the options with G&L really is the best way to go about it.

The generator website is fun, but it is missing a handful of newer options in the current price book last I looked.
