Olympic White Fender American Standard Jazz Bass
Posted: June 23rd, 2018, 3:37 pm
This jazz bass was built from a genuine Fender USA replacement alder body which I had refinished in Olympic White by Pat Wilkins, and a genuine Fender USA neck. I purchased them new from The Stratosphere. I had a bone nut made for it. The serial numbers are 2013 numbers, but I bought the parts new about a year and a half ago. All other parts are Fender parts except for the Seymour Duncan SJB-1 vintage single coil pickups and the WD celluloid tortoise pickguard. The bass has some slight scuffs from normal gigging and such, but nothing major. The neck pocket is professionally shimmed. The pocket angle was slightly off (the neck itself is perfect), so a full shim of the neck pocket was made, still allowing for 100% contact between neck & body. The shim is dark colored, so that’s not a gap you see (see pic). The bass plays perfectly with no issues whatsoever. Sounds incredible, as a Jazz should. It weighs in at about 8.5 pounds on my old bathroom scale. Light & comfortable. Selling only to fund something else. Shipping to the continental USA ONLY, and NO TRADES.
