about left handed 4003sw's and they responded today saying there will be runs of 4003s's including 4003sw's in 2018. The 4003sw is my favorite looking brand new Rickenbacker. I hope it wasn't just a generic response to my inquiry ie they really mean left handed and not just 4003sw for righties. Fingers crossed.

Walnut??? Really?? Hopefully they don't ship the whole batch off to Europe like the last run.

Today I asked them again about the 4003SW in LH. I was going to save my pennies and hold out for one, if so. This time they said they have no plans for a lh 4003sw. I must have received a generic response to my earlier inquiry. That's what I was afraid of; why I asked again. Bummer. The 4003sw's are super slick in so many ways.

With the exception of the walnut model, it also seems that Rickenbacker has ceased introducing a new annual? color across the board too, so I think our options have been reduced to Jetglo, Fireglo, Mapleglo, and Midnight Blue? now - the same colors we've had for a while. But I'm guessing their reasons are the same as most companies: those are the best selling colors.

And the stunning 4003 Noir, but this was very limited, and there were no lefties.
Matte black finish, black hardware, checkered body bindings, ultradark fingerboard and special inlays. Absolutely gorgeous!

Wow that Noir is great! I'm kind of tired of looking at the same 4 finishes we get. The walnut 4003 is cool, but something about the lack of bling and rounded off walnut corners on the 4003SW is just so much cooler imo. I'm pretty bummed out. Although, if we had as much variety as righties, I'd probably be bankrupt.

I guess my next best option is to hold out for a more figured non-boring looking 4003s mapleglo. Those are pretty cool too.
