Looking to sell within Canada my Japanese 62 re issue Jazz. Made in 1996 and has the small Anniversay logo on the back of the headstock. This bass is completely stock and in virtually new unplayed condition. it's quite a unique factory colour that could be blue but is also kind of a purple. Factory white pearl pick guard, ashtray and pickup cover, 62 re issue pickups and a nice dark rosewood board. The neck has a touch more chunk to it than a typical Jazz and feels fantastic. Recently setup with low action and new DR Blues nickle strings. It's a fantastic player and sounds like the way a good jazz bass should. Comes with a really nice lefty Fender GnG hard case with orange interior. Again due to CITES rules, I don't want to risk shipping a rosewood board outside of Canada and possibly having it seized by US Customs. So it's available to any of my Canadian fellow forum members for $1000 Canadian shipped. Email me at
wave2004@hotmail.ca for photos.

I dig that color. Good for my proposed startup Prince cover band!

Too bad about CITES. It sounds like an amazing bass.
Does it have pearl block inlay?

No block inlays but has a gorgeous dark rosewood board. Fit and Finnish are fantastic. Just a great Jazz bass all around.m with no signs of wear.
