Frankenbass Find

Post by screambasses »

Found this beauty at the music store across the street. I plugged it in, played it, and took it home.
It has an active Bartolini PUP, Schaller bridge, and Warmoth neck. I priced that neck - $385 to build.
It's flame maple, 21 frets, and rosewood. I took it apart today and cleaned it up. The body is wood, but no
markings. I'm not sure what type wood it is, but it's two piece and heavy. Best part of the deal? I paid $199.
I'll probably put that neck on my double-neck. Well, off to play a NYE gig! Happy New Year!

Nice one!
In the topsy-turvy world of heavy rock, having a good solid piece of wood in your hand is often useful...
