Your thoughts on repainting my Fender Precision

Hi I am thinking to repaint my precision and thought i would canvas your thoughts.
I have two Japanese Fender Precisions one full scale and one medium scale but they are both the same color scheme.
The medium scale is an E series made around 1984 to 87 and the full scale made around 1990 and is a 62 reissue. The medium scale is totally stock but the full scale has upgraded pickups, pots, wiring and shielded cavity and sounds great so it's already not original. The full scale also has a number of large cracks in the paint although i was assured they do not extend into the timber and one crack is in the center of the back and goes all the way from top to bottom on the body. I have contacted a local professional guitar restorer and would like to have it done in candy apple red and also change the bridge to a through body Fender bridge keeping with the Fender look just wondered on your thoughts here. Here is a pick of both guitars although i don't think you can see the cracks in the pics.
