My Squier P/J Frankenstein Bass
Posted: March 9th, 2017, 10:41 am
Hello All,
This bass will be a painful sell. The bass is good, but well used condition. This bass started life as a Squier P-bass Special in a black metallic flake. The neck was removed and sold, and a re-branded Squier VM Jazz Bass neck was added. The P-bass pickup was replaced with a vintage DiMarzio pickup, the back pick up is stock. The pots were changed to 250K Linear tapered. The bridge was replaced first with a Badass II and then with a Kickass in Nickel. The tuners are Fender tuners in Nickel as well. When the Fender logo was added, I made a custom bullet truss rod nut that would extend out much like the 70's bullet truss rod nuts. The logo has a thin layer of Lacquer over it. The sicker on the back of the body can easily be removed, this is my, " Hello Punisher" bass by the way. The strap buttons are Dunlop.
DISCLAIMER! This is not a Fender! It is a Squier Modified and Modified again Bass!! If you own a Squier P-bass Special, you may know that the neck pocket is a little wider than a standard Fender neck. I had to shim the neck to fit better in the neck pocket. This was done with aluminum tape to be more rigid.
The bass will come with a Road Runner gig bag and sport a new set of DR Hi-Beams. This is a GREAT playing and sounding bass! The price is $275.00 with again, free shipping in the lower 48 States. Please, all sales in the USA only, sorry. I will throw in the stock tuners and stock bridge with the bass. This bass has been one of my go to basses and I hope someone will want it for theirs!!
Thanks!!
Bill
