The only thing I know is it weighs 9lbs on my postage scale. I'm going to call Carvin to try to unravel the mystery. It sounds absolutely kick ass. Great punch, sustain and tonal range.

Nice! I've never seen an SB with a spalted top/ headstock before- it really works well with the body design!
