Lefthanded maple Jazz neck ordering

I have been trying to order a maple/maple Jazz USA neck from Fender. Epic fail and I was wondering if anyone has had any success with this?

I am convinced that Fender and Gibson are part of a grand plan to piss of every left handed bass player on the planet. I am going to drive up to the Fender office tomorrow and ask WTF?Matt R. wrote:The only way you're gonna get a lefty maple/maple neck is if it's attached to a mod shop or custom shop bass. They don't offer maple/maple replacements.
Its from their pawnshop series. Why they would do a left handed maple board neck for this right handed bass but also not do it for an actual lefty bass is pretty ridiculous to me.tim wrote:Jagbird? Thunderguar?
I was always curious about flipping one of these but the cost a lot for the risk.andrew wrote:And yet...
Give me a call when you get to Scottsdale. We can do lunch and bitch about Fender in person.AHNC wrote: ...

USACG makes a really great product. +10Moses wrote:There's always Warmoth or USACG
Yeah I think I kinda dig the Warmoth Roasted Maple neck. So I did ask Fender about how I would replace a Maple neck on an older JBass (I have a few) and they said they would get back to me. The fender people were really nice and seemed to actually care. I just asked the simple question " I can order a maple neck with a rosewood board how hard would it be to just not put the rosewood on?". I tried to explain that I prefer the maple only for my live sound for its brighter tone and the rosewood for recording for its warmer sound.Moses wrote:There's always Warmoth or USACG
