Question about electronics on a Carvin LB76F

Post by AHNC »

So in a moment of weakness I purchased a Carvin LB76F lined fretless off of reverb. The instrument plays quite nicely (my first Carvin) but the controls are a bit baffling. On the bass there are 2 rows of 3 nobs and a 2 position switch. I searched the Carvin site for a diagram or owners manual to figure out excatly what all the knobs are for. The volume (that one was easy to figure out is push pull which I suspect is active/passive control. The bass has a humbucker in the bridge position and a single coil in the neck position which leads me to believe the switch is for turning the humbucker into a single coil. Anyone have any experience with this setup? I'll post up some pics tonight.

Thanks

This article may be some help. I don't know if you have the piezo option on that bass, but hopefully the majority of the knobs are the same..
