1977 Ric 4001 For Sale
Well, I bought another Ric, but I'm still not a fan of them. The only thing I did was put a set of extra light strings on it,
I believe D'Addarios. I've played it maybe fifteen minutes, but it's a great example of a nearly 40-year-old bass.
This is the description as I bought it on Ebay a few months ago.
s/n QG2794 • Manufactured July 1977 • Blue • Straight Neck • Low Action (maybe too low - the E-string buzzes a bit
on the F fret and I can't for the life of me find the correct allen wrench to bring the action up a bit - it didn't buzz with
the fatter flatwound strings) • Dual Output • Original Case With Keys • Bass Weighs 10lbs • 25lbs with case • Light Fret Wear
The photos are with the flats on it... I have a few more photos if interested...
I'll sell it for what I paid - $1600 shipped to the CONUS. PayPal.

I had one like that back in the day and did not like it so much. I have a 2014 4003 that is great however. Diff strokes

Barely. I measured that and it's maybe 1/32" at the very edge of the bridge.
