Is the Peavey Foundation a good all-around bass?

Hi,
The title pretty much says it all.
Would the Foundation be a good choice for someone who is only going to own one bass at the moment? Would it be a good for playing multiple styles?
Any input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I love mine. I don't slap, so I wouldn't know about that "style."
These basses, like the mid-80s Ibanez RB basses, are still coveted by those
bassists in the know.
If you want new, then I would recommend a Schecter.

Pete,
Thanks for the response. I'm not even remotely a slapper, so that's not really an issue.

I had a fretless one back in the ... early 90's, maybe??? Kept it for about 10 years.
It was solid, did everything that I asked of it. For a fretless, it didn't have the big "mwah" sound to it, but I played rock, rock&roll, country, and some bluegrass with it over the years. It was fine. One of those that I wish I hadn't let go.
