NBD: Ric content!

Post by Jeroen »

New Bass Day!
Pulled the trigger on ordering a lefty Rickenbacker 4003 today. I had been GASsing for one for years but always thought I wouldn't be able to put that specific sound to enough good use. But actually it would fit my current band perfectly. And with the recent collapse of the British Pound now was a very good time to get one from the UK! In response to the collapse and the news Rickenbacker will cease producing lefties, some limited editions and some vintage reissues for a while to clear their backorder list of regular righthanded instruments, stores have been raising their prices like crazy. So before these magnificent basses will get even harder and more expensive to obtain, now seemed like a very good time.

I bought a brand new mapleglo 4003, and I hope it will be here somewhere within the next 1,5 weeks. For now, you'll have to settle for this picture taken from the website of the store I'm getting it from. I made the payment today, I hope they'll receive it soon.

I'm also expecting the arrival of the G&L SB-2 somewhere next week

That is beautiful! And it's got a lefty headstock for a change too.
