Gold Tone Resonator Bass

Post by McFarlin »

I bought this here a little over a year ago for $650.
It seemed almost unplayed when I got it; perfect condition and the strings weren't broken-in.
I expected to use it more but always seem to pick-up my electrics first, so it just sat in the case after the infatuation period ended.
Still in excellent condition

This is a great sounding bass, acoustic or amplified; easily my favorite ABG (I just have no need for an ABG at the moment).
"dynamics and sustain of the PBB has a remarkably similar tone to an upright bass" - Gold Tone website

Mahogany top, back and sides
Maple neck, rosewood fingerboard
Maple/ebony bridge
Humbucking pickup with tone and volume controls
Paul Beard cone and spider
available endpin for upright playing position (not included in this sale)

Open to trades
Would like to get $650 (shipped) for a cash deal.

Nice! I'd grab this if I didn't have other gear purchases about to happen. I've always wanted a resonator ABG.

I had one of these locked to get and had to back out. They interest me but I also have too many in my stable. I love the acoustic tones of these. Fun basses!

Yesterday I finally took this out of the case again and played it for hours. Really thinking about keeping it now (and not seeing a way to delete this thread). Still might be open to the right trade (electric), but probably not going to sell today.

If you decide you 100% don't want to sell or trade it say so in the thread and I'll delete or move the thread.
