Pete's Boatload O' Basses Holiday Sale

Post by pjmuck »

Papa needs a brand new pair of shoes (literally), the kids need new toys, and the wife wants some living space back, so I'll be reducing prices on all my remaining stock for 1 WEEK ONLY (Ending 12/14). Thereafter they'll be heading to evilbay.

Here's the scoop:

Any bass over $200 = take $50 off
Any bass over $400 = take $75 off
Any bass over $500 = take $100 off
Any bass over $1000 = take $150 off
Any bass over $2000 = take $200 off

Go to page 1 of my main list under, "Pete's Boatload 'O Basses Sale" in the For Sale section of our forum to see the updated bass list and revised pricing (now indicated in RED) @: http://www.leftybassist.com/viewtopic.p ... 348#p35348

So the prices in red are the current sale price?

I tried to put the Buzz on eBay... I've never actually tried to sell something on eBay before. I never realized how unbelievably complicated it is and the fees! Now I understand why it's called evilBay. Apparently, being in Canada makes it even worse. Sheesh. :? :o :(

Anyway, good luck with all those Pete.

Good luck to you too, Mark. Evilbay (and Amazon) are unfortunate necessary evils these days, as they have the name recognition and clout to entice potential buyers more than other sites that are far more reasonable in their fees like Reverb.com. Amazon's THE worst for sellers, (I like it as a consumer though), but I almost always sell anything I list up there. For a high ticket item like a bass, however, I'd probably avoid them. (I sold a guitar there once and I'll never do it again). Last I checked, they take a 15% commission fee.

There's also one other thing I like about Reverb as opposed to eBay: Unlike eBay, the left-handed basses on Reverb are left-handed.

I'll extend the sale to the end of the year, since I haven't had any time to list them on any of the auction sights yet. So get in touch if you're still interested in any bass. :)
