It's certainly rare and unique, and seems to be well documented, but I don't see it being desirable enough to be worth a 10th of the starting bid. I also feel that any work done to complete it and make a functional instrument would only decrease the value - since it would no longer be original - or at the least not make it worth any more.

of bridge & lower string mount - all items that would not decrease the value as they
essentially float off a hole in the butt - but, I don't have anywhere near the money
for that. I agree that it is little more than a unique foot note in the annuls of history
that will either drop in price until sold or disappear back in the owner's closet for a
few more years to come.
