'08 Ric 4003 Mapleglo

Up for sale is a ’08 Mapleglo 4003. I’m the second owner. Bought it pristine from southpawguitars in ’10. I’m a player and It has been gigged/practiced a lot which means I LOVE THIS BASS. I have to sell for personal reasons. I'd say the conditions is 9. There's a cool (imo) layer of discoloration along top edge front/back that I'll clean, if desired, but it looks cool. It’s got a few, and I mean just a few (4), shallow surface dings you’d expect for a bass that gets off the couch but you have to be right on top of to see. See photos for 2 small dings on headstock - both bumping into drum kit 
The clear coat is worn off on the bottom of the neck on the binding only (not on the wood). Clear doesn’t stick to binding anyway. You can’t see/feel the worn edge since I took very fine sand paper to it. There is a small dime size translucent colorization on the face under the clear coat. May be polishing compound? or wood grain? You have to tilt the bass in the right light to see. From the photo you cannot see it. Came from factory like that. I never see it – but this is full disclosure. Comes with PU cover, but I play with the cover off and the treble bezel installed. Nice. Easy to put the cover back on if you want, but plays much easier with cover off. Okay the good: Sounds amazing. Looks amazing. No dings on neck. No wear on back at all. Frets great. Gets lots of attention every time I bring it out. This is the holy grail for lefty Rics (imo). Comes with Ric silver case in perfect shape. Asking under what I paid, but a fair price $2900 (shipping included within US).
