Squier VM Jazz bass custom

Post by Billw97 »

Well...it's that time again. I have to move some basses and guitars. This is the Vintage Modified Jazz bass by Squier with the block and bound neck. I had some pictures up in the past.

The body was shot with a transparent red lacquer and then cleared with a clear lacquer to give it this finish. The finish was sanded and polished.

All of the hardware is nickel, this includes the neck plate and control cover for a warmer appearance. The bridge is a Hipshot Fender mount bridge and the tuners are also Hipshot with a drop tuner on the E-string. These are custom tuners to give it that Kluson style look with the long stems. The knobs were black push on knobs that I had that completes the look...IMO. The electronics are all stock.

The bass is not spotless as I bought it used. I will try to post some pictures of the two spots later.

The bass for sale in the US only...sorry if this upsets anyone. The price is $225.00 which includes the shipping. This price is far less then the total cost of the bass and the hardware separately.

Let me know if there is any interest!!

Thanks!!

Ditto! Classy upgrades too. If I didn't have a VM already I'd be all over this. :)

I am really very sorry to do this...but after taking a few picture of the dings, I started to play this bass. BIG mistake, I think I'm going to keep this bass and list another in it's place. Sorry for wasting everyones time.

So Bill, enquiring minds want to know what else you have lurking in your closet thats loaded with Hipshot gear, and destined to make us drool over it? :D
In the topsy-turvy world of heavy rock, having a good solid piece of wood in your hand is often useful...
