Here's my 66 Jazz. It was finished June 1966, there is a 666 engraved under the pickguard

Big time mojo on this! Andy, did I read elsewhere that you're the original owner on this and had it ordered back in '66?

I'll take a player's bass with years of blood, sweat, and tears any day over some pristine wall hanger. There must be a lot of stories and gigs and personal history that go with this bass. Awesome.

Yup, my parents bought it for me when I was in 7th grade. It took 6 months and cost 320 $. i still have the receipt somewhere.

Well it was stolen in 1973. Friends found it a few months later. Except for them it has always been with me. It's semi-retired now. I only use for recording or for high profile blues gigs.

I know I am probably being a pain when I say this but is there any way you could post a pic of the "666" under the pickguard?
