Jazz bass

I'm selling off a few basses that I no longer play. Currently for sale, is a Fender/Warmoth Jazz bass. The neck is an original 1975 bound and blocked, 3 bolt Fender Jazz neck. The tuners are original as are the frets (which are in perfect condition).The body is an Alder Warmoth Jazz body finished in Olympic While nitro lacquer. The bridge, contrpl plate and neck mounting plate are original 1975 Fender hardware. Electronics are a set of EMG JV active pickups and were installed in the bass less than a year ago. The bass was recently set up and is in excellent playing condition. There are some scratches and wear marks in the finish from use which is evident in the photos. Asking $1100.00 plus shipping, but will consider all reasonable offers.

Oh and also, how's the neck pocket fit? Anytime I've paired a Fender USA neck to a Warmoth body, there's been a slight gap. Different curvature of the heel on the neck than the pocket.

No they didn't Matt. I bought the body without the mounting holes drilled and had a luthier drill them to accommodate the neck.
The neck seems to fit fine. If there is a gap, I've never noticed it and the neck seems pretty stable in the pocket unlike a lot of 3 bolt Fender necks.

Some folks have asked for a few more pics of the bass so here they are. Also to answer a few questions about it- The bass weighs 9.4 Lbs. No case is included with it. I'm not interested in trades for it. I'm in process of upgrading a few other basses that I own as well as making room for a few basses that I need for work. If I missed anything, please let me know and I'll be happy to answer any questions about it.

The string alignment seems funny, like the G is way closer to the edge of the fingerboard. Is that so, or am I just seeing things at an angle?

I'm looking at it right now and it is a bit closer to the edge of the board on the G side. Don't know why. It's never given me a problem and I've never noticed it before.

all the 75 i saw had the black "fender" logo, this seem kind an older transition logo. i never saw a 70s lefty bass with the complete "fender" + (kind of bass name) complete decal. that neck could be a rarity !

I don't know about it being a rare neck. When I bought the bass I thought the same thing but was told that they did do that at some point. It could've been added on later-who knows. I did have the bass checked out prior to buying it and it's a confirmed 1975. The original body was swapped out (by me) awhile ago. The previous owner had decided to "customize" it by routing out (and VERY poorly) a P bass pickup where the neck position pickup was. In doing so, he made a mess out of the route and tried to correct it with Bondo! (Jeez!!!) He also added a custom pickguard to it.(which is why I have an aftermarket pickguard on it)

I'm looking at it right now and it does'nt look refinished. If it is, I can't tell.

Threaded bridge saddles? In the 1970's Fender bass bridges had barrel-style saddles with a single groove. The headstock logo looks strange to me, too. Too much gold in the Fender logo outline and that model name, all early- to mid-70's lefty Fender basses I've seen in person or in photos have had only the Fender logo with patent numbers under it and no model name.

As for the bridge Pete, it's what was installed on the bass when I purchased it. It may have been prior to me getting the bass. Same thing with the headstock logo. Like I had mentioned to Andrew, it does'nt look like a refin on the headstock, but there's no way to know for sure. I do know that the neck itself is from a 1975 Fender Jazz bass. I'm NOT selling it as a 1975 Fender Jazz bass. I'm selling it for what it is-a Warmoth body with aftermarket pups,pickguard, strap locks and original tuners, neck plate, control plate and bridge. If the bridge is not an original 1975, then deduct that from the list of "original parts"
I think I'm just hold onto her. I seem to appreciate her more.
