Selling My SG Bass And A Fretless Jazz

Post by Matt R. »

Ok guys. Unfortunately some changes are calling and I need to unload a couple axes. Plus, I'm raising cash for an SR5.

First, I'm selling my brand new flawless Gibson SG bass. Asking $750 shipped, continental US only. Has case of course. Plays and sounds great.
Here is said beauty.

Next up is a really cool Warmoth fretless Jazz Bass. I bought the body and neck from our own Addison. As he showed in his for sale thread, the bridge holes had at one time been drilled slightly crooked, but repaired and redrilled straight. There are no cosmetic or functional issues resulting from this, and the bass is solid as a rock. On the headstock, when I reinstalled the string tree I moved it back a little, so there is a barely visible hole from its old location with a little filler in it. Swamp ash body. Beautiful birdseye maple/ebony neck. Custom Warmoth headstock decal for a little class. 8-) The pickups are passive Seymour Duncan "hot". Threaded vintage style bridge. MIJ Fender Tuners. Looks, plays and sounds like a beast. Lovely bass.

Asking $475 shipped in the continental US only, which is basically what I have in the thing.

This has to be the first new lefty Gibson to hit the used market.

Matt, I recommend you get a Gibson Thunderbird. It'll seem pretty familiar to a jazz bass lover.

$475 for a complete bass of that quality and made form those woods is a STEAL.

i'm pretty sure this now holds the record for a multiple bass sale in a single thread. And not likely to be overtaken in the record books in the foreseeable future IMO

Yeah I guess I can look at it that way too. Making history with my favorite group of enablers is a decent glass-half-full scenario.
