For Sale: 2004 Musicman Stingray 5
It appears there is only room for one 5 string bass in my life. Only use them four or five times a year these days. Picked up a Modulus Genesis 5 from fellow forum member "bhunt1" - thanks again - here couple of months ago so it's time to move the Stingray along.
I've really loved this bass. I'm sure many of you have tried them - because they are one of the more common lefties. I'd totally keep it if I was more of a fiver guy. It sounds great and is in absolutely amazing condition considering how far it's traveled with me over the years. 100% original. I'm the original owner. I tried really hard to find a blemish or two and there just isn't any. There might be the tiniest little chip on one of the corners at the end of the headstock but it is so small I can't really tell. The tuners could use with a polish but seriously, that's the only thing I can come up with that might not be pristine.
The frets are very mildly worn and have years and years of life in them. The electronics are in perfect order without even the hint of a dirty pot. The neck is straight and well adjusted. It comes with the original hard shell case which has a few normal wear and tear scrapes but all the latches work and the interior is like new.
I'd like to get $1100 plus shipping but I'm open to reasonable offers. I can usually ship fairly inexpensively within Canada and the US through my employer. I'll entertain overseas buyers but it may not be worth it because of the shipping expense.
Please contact me with any questions.

Sometimes I think, maybe I'm lucky I'm left handed. If I could play any bass I wanted, my collection would REALLY be out of control.

According to my trusty luggage scale, the bass comes in at just under 9½lbs. (That's about 4.3kg for you metric types.)
It is swamp ash after all. When it comes to sound, it's about 9½ tons.

Wow! I would be seriously considering this but I own the exact same bass in the exact same color combo! There cant be that many Trans Orange lefty SR5's out there!
Someone should seriously grab this bass. Mine is my absolute number one!
