Lakland Joe Osborn Jazz bass

Hey guys, I hate to do it, but I went gear buying crazy this summer and I need to clear out some of the extra. I bought this bass 4 1/2 months ago. It is a killer jazz bass, but I'm a die hard P-bass guy and this bass has been getting no use at all. I've jammed with it twice, and played it at home for a bit before it went in the case and into the closet. I havn't played this bass more than 6 hours, and between myself and the original owner who also never played it there is not 12 hours play time on it from new. This is just too nice a bass to sit idle. That being said, I have two basses for sale right now and once one sells I'm keeping the other. $1825 including shipping in continental north america, I just want to get back almost what I have into it. These sell new for $3400. Please email me if you have any questions. Thanks!

Yep, you'll just need to sacrifice the G string to make room for it.

I'd buy it in a heartbeat if I didn't already have one!

Maybe I could hoard all the lefty JOs? 8-)

I kid, but how many exist? Maybe 3 that we know of?

There's a "feel" of that bass that just feels like perfection, to me. That neck, and the fretwork... I want that neck on all my basses, current and future.

My Glaub has a JO neck on it too, and I agree, these necks feel so nice in your hand. They're ridiculously comfortable.

Bass Central has sold a couple JO basses that are unaccounted for. There's 3 JO's on this board; mine, yours and Chuck has one too.

My JO came from Bass Central, several years back, I still love the thing.

the only problem with those is the bridge looks to wide to be able to install a bridge cover.
(if you like that sort of thing)
I suspect you would as they come with a pick cover

SWEET Joes!!

LOVE the blue... I totally don't consider myself a "blue guy" in any way, but man... I've really been liking it lately.

I asked Brian at Lakland about a year ago, and he told me there were probably less than a dozen lefty 4's and only two lefty 5's that he knew of in the world.

I talked to him about 2 or 3 months ago and he reconfirmed this again, saying there had only been a couple of more lefties made since the last time we had the conversation, and they were both 4's.

Regardless... there are NOT many of either 4's or 5's, and now that Dan has left the building and serial numbers will no longer be JOXXXX, I think there will be a demand for these beauties someday.

Welcome, Funky42! He's good people - a great Ebay seller.

I'm still loving the Zon! I can't put it down. I did give it it's first scratch, tho. :D
