gaskell thunderbird

Post by wolfkeller »

I looked into one of these, I got an email stating that ther're going for about $1,200, and there is a wait of a few months til they actually build it after ordering. There are no options for customization.

I don't know Gaskell basses, but also Tokai makes lefty Tbirds. Someone here's got it.

Gaskell is a australian company who make assorted left handed guitars and basses. I have had some discussion with them about the T'bird. My understanding is that there will be both a standard and custom model.
Regenerate guitarworks 55 Tribute. MIM Fender Jazz Vintage 70's. G&L L2000 USA made 80's. Ibanez Soundgear. Ibanez Eb3 copy early 70's.
Vantage VS600B. Frankenfender Pbass. Danelectro DC. Warwick Alien 4 string Acoustic. Chinese 5 String Acoustic.

$1200 must be the custom model, no? That sounds pretty steep for a standard, since his basses are typically in the $800-900 range. I've got one of his Explorer-style basses.

What ever became of Mike Lull's T Series basses? I thought I had heard he was offering lefties.

Mike Lull is still doing the T line and they are definitely awesome.

I know a guy with a righty one. They are more in the $2300-3000 price range though.
Sometimes I think, maybe I'm lucky I'm left handed. If I could play any bass I wanted, my collection would REALLY be out of control.
