Fender expanding lefty options?

Just saw a black American P with a Tort guard. I thought Fender gave us only two choices, a black one with a white guard, and a 3TS Sunburst with a tort guard. Now, this auction is for a factory black with tort. Is fender actually expanding options a bit? Or am I just inhabiting a fictitious realm of my imagination and needing to come out?

They already had lefty black bodies and lefty black tort pickguards... So it doesn't sound like they're doing much of anything right?

Agreed that they are not doing much of anything, but about a year ago when I asked if this was an option at Sam Ash they said it was not, that I would just have to order a replacement tort pickguard and they could mount it and replace the stock one. I'm not looking at the bass like if it was manna from heaven, just noting that they showed the tiniest bit of flexibility, that's all.
