lefty M Bass M3 5 string for sale or trade

Post by sgilder »

Thinking about selling or trading my M bass. It is a great bass, just might be more than i need right now. It's a 35" scale 5 string, alder body with a really thin Nitro finish, 24 fret maple neck with macassar ebony board, lindy Fralin PU's and Aguilar OBP 3 preamp, ebony ramp. First class instrument all the way. Plays great, sounds great, probably the nicest bass I will ever own. It's Jon's Older M3 Model that he no longer builds. A replacement (if he were still making them) would run around $3600 according to Jon. I'll let this one go for $1500 or trade for something like a lefty P bass or Stingray plus cash. Heres a link to the thread I started about this one:

I'm not desperate to sell this so please, no lowballs. Trade offers are welcome.

Mr. Gilder and I have done a trade. My fretted Bongo 5 for the M3. Basses are enroute. :)

Good job Mark! I played that bass at the Philly Guitar Show in Nov. last year. It was strung righty but super low action with no buzz. Curious to hear the review strung up lefty. I think it was originally built for Jimmy Haslip. Its got his signature on the back of the headstock. Cheers

Thanks Jim. Hopefully this is one of those win/win situations and we're both happy with the deal. Cool looking bass.
