My Ergo EUB is on the Way

Post by Matt R. »

Check it out, it's in the finishing stage. It's the one on the far left:

Ohhhhh, you lucky man!
I've been wanting one of those for years, one of these days I will pull the trigger.
Jessie Blue seems like a really great guy and he has really hit the nail on the head with his basses.

Can't wait to read your review.

Cheers!

Can't wait to write it. And yeah Jesse has been super friendly and prompt in our email exchanges. Seems to be a really cool guy. I live only 2 hours from Chattanooga so I'll be picking it up. Looking forward to meeting the guy.

it's great to see he's continued on with his works from the mid-90's

will yours have the concave rear neck contour option? I played one of his basses with this option sometime around '99 ... it was both disgustingly comfortable and mentally disturbing at the same time

disturbing in the sense that this is NOT what the neck of a doghouse feels like if you know what I mean. I'm sure those who are seasoned doghouse vets would find it difficult to know where they were since all of their familiar thumb location landmarks would be absent

all the best,

R

I didn't ask for that option so I dunno. Also, this will be my first DB

How odd that the side markers zig zag across the fretboard. What's the idea behind that? :?:

I think it has to do with more visibility in the upper positions.

Almost done. About a week to go. This is with the final coat of finish applied but before sanding:
