Spector Euro 5 2002- good deal?

Hello all!
I am in the process of purchasing a lefty 2002 Euro5 in natural finish for $799. It's in overall excellent condition and was well cared for by what I believe was a single owner. Is this a good price, or around what's expected for a bass like that? I know the euro lx models that came directly after these will often go for $1400-1800 used and am wondering if these basses would normally demand a similar price.
I'd also be curious to hear people's opinions on them vs the euro lx. I've heard a lot of spector enthusiasts say they prefer the sound and construction of these to the euro lx models introduced directly after them (thicker instruments, bigger/better bridge, full maple wings, better preamps, closer overall to US spectors at that time).
I owned a euro lt recently which I had to let go and am curious how this new axe will compare to that.
