midrange stingray recommendations

I'm looking for something stingray-sounding in the USD $600 - 1200 range, and not finding much. Any suggestions? I can wait for a used Ray34 or ATK300L to surface, and the Sire Z's are increasingly looking like vaporware. Anything I'm missing? Thanks!
