Yep. Hence the fret buzz. Probably not worth taking a chance that it can be reasonably fixed even at that price, but I figured I'd post it just in case someone might be willing to try.

Well, I would likely have refretted it after planing out the twist, if it were necessary. I am glad someone got a great deal on it. I'm kinda glad I lost out on it- I certainly have plenty to do already. I almost bought one when they became available new. I decided that for my current needs a five string Jazz bass was the one bass I didn't have, that would work well in the cover band/ casino circuit that I play gigs in. The Jack Casady bass is not quite as versatile. I have my own builds, but I do not scratch build Fender j-clone basses like so many Luthiers do now... unless it's budget beater parts basses. So, I got a Sire V7. Love it. So much so, that I am waiting now, for another V7 Five string.
