Guys, I just found out that Fender's been making basses for a couple of years. I knew Fender made Epiphone Les Pauls, but I had no idea they were in the bass business.

Funny thing is that the serial numbers put the sunburst JB at 2013, but I read in GQ magazine that Fender's first year to make basses was 2019, the year my black JB was made.

So many things incorrect in this post, I have to assume it's a joke. Right?

Fender's been making basses since 1951. Yes, even lefties, though extremely rare.
Fender NEVER made Epiphone Les Pauls. Epiphone makes Epiphone Les Pauls, under Gibson ownership. Gibson has owned Epiphone since 1957.
GQ has no clue what they're talking about. 2019?

Seriously what a mind blower! Where's Rick Sanchez when I need him? I'm used to seeing others copy Fender. Even Epiphone put out a Strat copy. But A Fender Les Paul shape! I wish I'd never seen this. ha ha ha
