Always wanted to try one of the vintage basses, as I love affordable basses. Looks like this would be ace if you wanted to dabble in fretless for not much cashola..

In the topsy-turvy world of heavy rock, having a good solid piece of wood in your hand is often useful...

I own one and it's a fantastic bass for the $. The distressed finish and aged hardware is extremely well done, and it really nails the Jaco tone. The only issue I encountered with mine was there was some fret sprouting of the plastic fretless line markers due to wood shrinkage, so I contacted the seller and asked them to pick another one for me without sprouting, which they did. So you might have to keep these basses well humidified.

I've heard nothing but good things on these basses. Not sure if it's really good (like Sire good), or "surprised given the price" good. Either way, can't really hurt for this price.
