They're finally here, although the supply is limited. For now they're only available through The Vault, EB's own webshop, and only in the USA, but this is promising. And best of all, they've included models with twin pickups!

They stopped making the standard Stingray 4 & 5 (which were available left handed) in 2018 and replaced them with the Specials. You can still get lefty Sterling basses.
I’ve heard that production lefty Specials are on the way. I hope that these are a pre-production run pending wider availability. Or, if the Vault is going to become their way of offering low-volume stuff like lefties, that it becomes available world wide.

I was speaking online to Ernie Ball about this earlier this week, after only just finding The Vault.
They said they might do different colour options in the future, but that was it. I'm excited they are doing some, but obviously wish they were doing more. I just bought "the last lefty Stingray" in Australia, there's no more left in the warehouse or distributor - apparently.
Also, as an Aussie, I have to muck about to get a Stingray Special, which is a shame. But I'll do it, I just want a more exciting colour

EBMM Customer Services told me they hope to offer Vault instruments internationally "in the near future", so that's hopeful. But I suspect they will want to sell the ones in stock before they make any other colours.
