I just love this finish (I refinished my L2000 tribute in a very similar finish):

Sharp!
Does anyone here own a Sandberg? I've been curious about them for years, and they seem to have a wide variety of models available. There were a couple on Reverb a few months ago that seemed to be well priced (under $1200?).

Not anymore, but I used to own an older unlined fretless Bullet 5 (now called the Classic). It was a fine bass, with closed-cover Delano J-style pickups, a Noll 2-band preamp, sandblasted ash body and bolt-on maple neck with rosewood fingerboard and rosewood nut. Great neck, thin and fairly flat. Very comfortable to play, and it looked great. I wish I had kept it.
Edit: there's still a picture of it in an ad on Arni's site apparently. This is the one:

I am a big fan of the unfilled grain look. Very cool bass.
