I am not familiar with Lakland basses, but I know many praise them. These don't come up very often:

Hah, thanks Peter, I just came here to post about this bass and you beat me to it. I intend to bid on it, but if anyone else has designs on it feel free to bid too.

I will bid up to $1149. If it goes for more than that, I'd rather get another new Fender American Standard. :)

Where was it listed on Craigslist?

I thought I saw that bass on eBay a few months ago, and sold for the same $1800 or so. Maybe it was another one. I know Bass Central has sold 2 or 3 of those in the last couple of years.

BTW. nice score Andrew. Now you have the complete Lakland collection! I would love to try one of those someday. . .

This one was sold by the original owner. He bought it from Bass Central, who have sold at least 3 Lakland JO basses with this look. Psychoward has one, and someone else who used to post on the forums has one too.

I'm more the P-Bass guy so my plan is to give this bass a good try and if it doesn't completely wow me I'll be reselling it. It's just too expensive to be a bass that I use once or twice every few months. If I decide to sell Lefty007 has first dibs if he wants them.

I still need a Dunn to complete the Lakie big 3 passive basses Carlos. :)
