Using all caps online is akin to shouting, which is rude.

I'm asking you to be considerate of others on this forum, including myself.

It's a small and simple request, asked respectfully.

If you choose to ignore it, who's the one being small?

The site did switch all my gold options back to silver for the basses I've saved to "My Designs," although on the little thumbnail image the hardware is still gold. :) Awfully pretty... oh well, I'm saving and can't order one now anyway. Glad to hear they're honoring your order though.

I sent an email asking the poly vs nitro question. I'll let you all know when I hear back

Interesting. This is the reply I got RE poly vs nitro:

Hey Matt,

Currently, all bodies will be finished with Urethane.

However, some of the necks will be finished in Nitro – mostly the Vintage style designated necks. Your bass will be Urethane Body with our Fender Flash Coat Nitro finish on the neck.

I believe we plan to offer Nitro on the bodies in the future though!

That is very cool that Fender will not back out on the gold stipulation on your order.
Guess you have a rare, collectable bass right from the get-go! :D

Seeing all these wonderfully designed and beautiful basses is killing me... I keep seeing the photos and saying, "yup I'd order that one too"
I think I'm up to $25K in 'dream' orders already :-)

I laughed when Matt first mentioned the coffee. I thought it was a clever non sequitur.

I laughed again when viewed my cart at Fender.com and saw the free coffee.

A bag of Fender coffee - OK.
