- action is low so the G string is very close to the body. Hence, not much space to put your finger to pop, takes a bit a getting used to.
You can fix that by installing a shim in the neck pocket.

Hey PJ- can you give us any update on your observations thusfar?

I've been super busy of late, and I realize I owe everyone a thorough review. I'll be doing my 2nd gig with the bass tomorrow night, so I can better run it through the test and report back. But so far, so good...very good.

I am still in honeymoon mode. I really think I got my money's worth and more.
The only negative still remaining is the bit of buzzing I get when I move the pickup pot away from its middle position.
Otherwise, I find it quite versatile due to the array of sounds it can produce. And it is gorgeous and well made.
Any other owner has the buzzing issue?

Are you talking electronic buzz or fret buzz?

Electronic buzz!
I did put copper foil all over the inside but it did not change much...

You're talking about 60 cycle hum, I assume? The only time the PUPs will not hum is when they're in the middle position/hum canceling position (both Pups on). That's typical of a Jazz bass/single coils. Keep your fingers on the bass and your body will act as a ground.
I actually found mine to be quieter than my Fender Js, however, so maybe there is something else going on with yours. I'd start by making sure you're grounding the instrument.
