Still waiting for that review, Matt.
I do have a quick question: Do these basses have a floating bridge? As much as I hate floating bridges I think it's probably essential for this kind of bass design in order to get more accurate intonation. But looking at photos of the Club there's that weird wire running from the pickguard to the bridge, presumably to keep it in place?

Yes it's a floating bridge just like the ones on the 500/1. The wire you see coming from the pickguard is actually a small nail that keeps it upright. There's one tapped into the bridge and in the side of the neck. The bridge just stays in place from string tension.
