1978 Fender Precision Bass

Post by Bassaria »

Hey All-
1978 Fender Precision Bass
100% Original
Natural with maple neck/board.
Black guard.
Vol and Tone work 100% - bit of wear on the knobs.
Pegs dead on.
Original plastic case in 9.5 condition.
The only down side is the back of the bass has a bit of the color from the case transfered on the finish - could probably be buffed out but I thought it was pretty cool - its like they have lived together for 30+ years. My bet is that this was played regularly by a light touch dude who ALWAYS placed it back in the case - no gig bag for this cat.
I am the 2nd owner and only for about a year. This bass is the best P I've had out of about 5 - but I cant justify keeping this and updating my jazz rig so this is out.
Philly guitar show had these going for between $2000 and $2400 (for a lefty 78 Antigua finish...cool looking ax!)
I want to move this and not hurt anybody - $1800 shipped in CONUS verified paypal
$1725 cash near Philly.
If anybody was thinking about the Music Man Sabre, I still have that - I'd do a combo deal on both.....say...
$3200 Shipped/$3150 Local

Holla.
Happy Thanksgiving Folks.
Travel safe.
peace, rob
