Good price for these older ones.
GC says it's 80's model but looks like 90's to me. If it's 80's even better!

I took the drive out to Palm Desert to inspect this L-2000 up close. First of all, the serial number is B033161, which I believe dates it to August - October 1997. So, it is definitely NOT an 80s, despite GC's claims.

Cosmetically, it's in excellent shape, other than a missing screw on the back panel. However, the deal-breaker is the neck. There is distinct warping, making the bass completely unplayable beyond the 12th fret. And no, it's not a case of just raising the action as the action is already medium-ish.

GC's techs and the general manager all agreed that the neck is messed up. And yet, when they checked with the powers that be, they refused to lower the price any further. And on top of that, they still claim it's an 80s bass! So, unless you have a spare neck lying around, I strongly recommend avoiding this bass like the plague.
