Re: Epiphone Jack Casady
Just snagged one from Sweetwater yesterday. Rare that they have them in stock. Pretty stoked, I’ve been stalking these basses for about a year.

Re: Epiphone Jack Casady
I have to say I was skeptical of these basses after having tried multiple hollow bodies over the years, but I love mine. It sounds very different than it looks and the selectable pickup thing is wild. Cant wait to hear your thoughts on it.
Re: Epiphone Jack Casady
I watched a bunch of review videos. I checked out amateur videos, live videos of Casady himself playing it, and epiphone’s vids on YouTube. Was cool to see how consistent the basses sounded from video to video. It really has a nasty driven sound which is right up my alley.
Wasn’t prepared for it to be a versatile rock machine.
But yep I will definitely share thoughts on mine when it gets here.

Re: Epiphone Jack Casady
I just put my e-mail addy in on Sweetwater. If I have the income when they get them in, I might get one. I've heard all the demos on You Tube as well. Sounds like a Precision bass with a varitone, to my ears- with a slight variation in tone. I'd want to add a bridge pickup. I don't think Epiphone or their corporate parent company sells the pickups... I'd want it to look like the factory did it.
Re: Epiphone Jack Casady
Here’s an Italian company who does a replacement pickup for this bass. Hope this may help in your dual pickup Jack Casady quest

A guy I know did this to his JCB:

That's a low impedance pickup from a 60s/70s Gibson Triumph / Les Paul bass. Sounds huge!
