NBD Muckelroy Custom 4

Post by bhunt1 »

I liked my 5 string Muck so much I ordered a custom 4 string, and boy did Brady deliver. It has an alder body, 5 piece flame maple/mahogany neck, Bolivian Rosewood top and headstock cap, Mac ebony board. Kent Armstrong dual coils, coil switching, Muck preamp, VVT. Incredible range of sounds, very clean and musical, loud even in passive. The fit and feel of the bass is superb. Pics:

Now THAT's a piece of art! I like it even better than the 5 string you've ordered but that one turned out great as well, congrats!

Beautiful! Is that a wood nut? Maybe I'm just not observant but I've never noticed one before. What that does for the tone?

Good grief man, that’s a thing of beauty….wowza!!
In the topsy-turvy world of heavy rock, having a good solid piece of wood in your hand is often useful...

Thanks everyone. It sounds as good as it looks :) yes the nut is a piece of the Bolivian rosewood.

What a stunner. Another example of Brady's fine workmanship.
