PM's don't show up as sent until the recipient looks at them. So they'll sit in your Outbox until that happens.

What AZ said. No pm issues otherwise. It's a handy feature but also kind of confusing, you aren't the first to wonder about it.

My wife has PMs from time to time. I wouldn't send that to anyone.
