Hi Guys,
For your consideration is a 6 string fretless Carvin Icon 6P (P is for piezo). This thing is almost dead mint. It has a pearl white paint job with gold hardware, the piezo bridge option, and a black Carvin hardshell case in superb condition. It also has the hard as nails finish on the fingerboard which is Carvin's answer to Pedulla's fingerboard finish. This finish is in excellent condition. The only niggle with the bass is that the previous owner screwed with the nut and some of the slots are a bit too deep and will need a new nut. Other than that it has mwah up the ying yang which will only improve with a new nut and a consequent setup tweak.
I will mention this again, these basses are incredibly well made. I put my IC 5P up against my last F Bass BNF5 and the Carvin was at least 97.5% the build quality of that bass at less than half the price. The electronics and pickups in the Icon series are also excellent, in my opinion. The sweepable mid is a nice feature.
Need to re-allocate funds to another project so this baby has to go.
Asking $1000 US OBO plus shipping to your local.

Re: Carvin Icon 6P fretless 6 string
I had some interest on this bass from a fellow board member who asked what the weight was. It weighs in at 10 lbs even on the bathroom scale. To me, 10 lbs with a well balanced instrument and a good quality strap is no big deal. Now, to my thinking, trying to find a lefty 6 string fretless that’s very specifically between 8.5 and 9 lbs may be next to impossible unless you get a custom build and spend $3k or more. Anybody care to weigh in on this? ...because I’m curious if I’m out to lunch on it.

Glad to hear you sold this....being fretless may have narrowed the interest in the bass.. but, it is beautiful, and I'm sure whomever bought it is diggin' on owning it!markcv wrote:This is sold by the way.
