1988 Fender Custom shop reissue of 1960 Jazz bass
Hi Guys. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about such a bass, such as availability, price range, etc. The one I've seen is white, stack knobs and has the oval red custom shop stamp in the neck cavity,on the base of the neck and on the back of the headstock.
Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

Re: 1988 Fender Custom shop reissue of 1960 Jazz bass
Just a warning that not all Custom Shop instruments from that era are a panacea:
I have a black 1993 Fender Custom Shop reissue of a 1961 or 62 (not sure which) Jazz Bass. It has a slab fretboard and the three knobs. I got it used with all-original parts in 2001; whoever had it before me really played it to death. The shop that sold it to me had to completely replace the truss rod (which they did for free) and even then, I eventually just replaced the neck with a Warmoth some time later. The pots had a tendency to short out every year or so and I had to replace those as well. Eventually it became my favorite "Frankenbass" and I do play it all the time.
