2014 Rick 4003 Mapleglo

Post by bhunt1 »

This is a 2014 Rick 4003 Mapleglo bought new online. It is in near mint condition. I did use it for some rehearsals but no damage at all to the bass. The case has a couple of small scuff marks. Case is original. The one modification is that it has Schaller strap locks. For sale = $1,700 plus shipping. Thanks for looking. One of the very few basses I've never owned...now have a big GAS attack for this- but, it would likely end a beautiful relationship... a beautiful bass... good luck with the sale!

Interested. Can you give any details about the neck? The last Ric I owned had a somewhat thin neck on it. It was 78 and while it sounded great, the neck was a bit too narrow. But I’m definitely interested in this one.
Thanks

I owned a 4001 a long time ago, but from my somewhat hazy memory, I think the neck on the 4003 is a bit wider. The 4001 I had had some issues with its neck, it had a buzz around the 5th fret that could not be adjusted out. I've had this 4003 for a few years now and its very stable, nice action and plays well. Hope this helps.
